Had to send my dish back because it had deep fried crisps on top :(. I am sensitive to cross contamination and made that clear to the wait staff who said I can safely eat the dish upon ordering. I was deeply disappointed by the service here and expected better from a professional (and expensive) establishment

Very good food. Waiter was very attentive and kitchen was able to make good substitutions for food to make it gluten free. Had the dine out Boston menu with steak and mashed potatoes as a main course.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had in Boston. All staff were exceptionally cognizant and knowledgeable about celiac and willing to modify and double check with kitchen on everything. All food confirmed GF when served. A fantastic experience.

Grill 23 has it all....great atmosphere, excellent service and wonderful food!! As most good steakhouses, the food is very expensive; nevertheless, I had one of the best filet mignons I ever had in my life. I have celiacs and was thrilled to see that the restaurant had a gluten free menu. The maitre'd assured me that I would be safe at his restaurant and that everything would be prepared separately. Our waiter was attentive, funny and helpful, but his eyes did glaze over a little bit when I tried to confirm that items were gluten free. He kept saying, "if it is on the gluten free menu, it is gluten free." I reiterated that my food had to be prepared separately and I felt that he was yesing me to death. Unfortunately, I got violently ill very soon after my meal. So, I just have to assume that there was cross contamination in the kitchen. My recommendation is that if you have celiacs or a gluten intolerance, you may want to rethink this restaurant or you may want to personally speak to the chef before your order.

Great knowledge of gf and amazing food. Separate menu including clam chowder, not the best but still good. Shellfish and steak were excellent.
