The Grilled Cheese Bistro

I was super excited to come here based off the reviews. Maybe things have changed so here are a couple updates.

1. They do not have a dedicated fryer for fries. Major bummer.

2. They do not have a dedicated cooktop for grilled cheese. They lay down a piece of parchment and grill the bread on that. They DO put it on a separate plate on top of parchment.

3. Not all the ingredients for each grilled cheese are GF and the tomato soup is not GF. They can leave things off, of course.

I ended up with a plain grilled cheese and it was good. I was just excited to try something new and felt pretty restricted with my options considering previous reviews.

So many choices that I have to return. The grilled cheese was fantastic. Fries also hot and crispy. My friend had a sandwich with vegan cheese and said it was excellent.

The food was delicious! I love specialty grilled cheese, and the fries were also to die for. It is pricey but it’s fun. The gluten free bread was also good, and not just Udi’s.

They offer quite the variety of sandwiches, all with the option of gluten free bread. Also use a separate toaster/grill for every gluten free order. Fries are cooked in the same fryer as other gluten containing products but they let me know that. Staff was very good and kept my food separate.

Any grilled cheese can be made on gluten free bread. Fries are in a shared fryer, but the tomato soup is gluten free. I ordered the Elote Loco and added chicken. It was absolutely delicious and the waitress and kitchen took my “allergy” very seriously. Did not get sick.

Almost everything that you can add to your grilled cheese but the bread was just okay. Had a very plain tasting toast. Unfortunately my friend who is not celiac did not get the sandwich she ordered which also put damper on the experience.

Pretty much every grilled cheese can be made on gluten free bread! Food was amazing (lasted me two meals) and I had zero reactions both times.
