I ordered a gluten free pizza and was served one with gluten (by a food runner, not our original waitress). I realized the taste wasn’t right when I got to the crust of my first slice. Went to the bathroom, made myself get sick, and the waitress was very apologetic and made me a GF one to go. Once I knew I was in the clear, the GF crust was really good! But wish there would have been better communication.

Pizza is about the only choice here and it’s quite good. Outdoor atmosphere and service are great too.

We’ve been here two years in a row on vaca. My 10 yo celiac loves their Caesar salad and individual pizza.

I will say that my husband prefers their GF pizza crust over their regular crust. He’s not gluten free. I happen to think their pizza is quite good for gluten free.

I ate in while at the boardwalk and asked about GF options. They have a GF pizza dough and said they would change gloves and clean the area, but they do NOT have a dedicated GF prep area or a GF oven. No GF menu for other items. Ultimately I got a salad and requested them to make it with GF protections since it was obvious I could not safely get the pizza or anything else on the menu.

I ordered a gluten-free pizza & informed the cashier that I had a gluten allergy, and he wrote that information on the pizza box & told me the kitchen staff would be aware of it. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable. Sadly, I was not at all impressed by the taste of the pizza. The crust was very soggy, and the flavor was not very appetizing. Before being diagnosed with Celiac, I loved Grotto pizza, but I don't think I will ever be returning for their GF pizza.

Ordered a small GF pizza online to pick up at boardwalk location. Glutened for sure.

If you have any gluten problem whatsoever do not get the gluten free pizza here. The pizza is worse than cafeteria pizza. Spent half of my beach day in the bathroom. The kids who work there do not follow any kind of gf rules. No dedicated ovens or counters. Just a box marked GF.

Pizza crust that is gf and actually worth eating! Crispy flaky crust was so good!! Did not get sick either! Will be back for sure!
Great place to go if you are in a hurry or if you want to relax. Have been here twice and never got sick. I definitely recommend it and the price is totally reasonable.

Yes the bottom of the pizza was crispy but they put a signature fancy swirl on the top of the pizza with the sauce which mad the top of the pizza real soggy !

Called to check about the safety of their gluten free pizza. Was told dough was prepared and cooked on the same surface as their regular pizza dough.

The food was amazing, but cross contaminated. I started feeling the nausea accompanied with the contamination 5 minutes after eating. Celiac havers beware. Other than that there was a very limited amount of foods you could eat.

I asked and I was hesitant because they ship the crust in frozen. It was WONDERFUL. I will be back.

They have a GF personal pizza and some salad as GF options. It's not a lot of choices but it is very good. Their fryer will cross- contaminate so beware of the fries.
