Groucho's Deli

So friendly and helpful!! My 6yo daughter has celiacs therefore looking for Gf options in Georgetown. This deli has Udi’s GF Sub Roll and can heat sandwiches safely. Their chips are also GF! The waitress was knowledgeable and very sweet!

Waitstaff and manager very made sure that my sandwich was made in a clean area and not heated in the toaster used for regular breads. Manager brought my food out separately. Very good dining experience!

Have gluten free rolls and a dedicated prep area. Manager prepares your gluten free sandwich in the separate area so cross contamination is avoided.

Good choice of salads but not much else. Got a feta salad with Italian dressing. Large portion and it was delicious. Good for a quick bite or to go. Staff was helpful. 4 stars for the food I got but only three for variety. I would go back.

I went here on a Friday afternoon and we sat at the bar top. The restaurant was clean. The waitress and another waiter took time to explain to me the menu and their favorite sandwiches and what was safe. They assured me they would take care with my GF roll and I watched them prepare my sandwich on a special board away from the rest of the prep area. My sandwich was absolutely delicious but more importantly I felt very safe here and I didn’t get sick.

I had a great experience. Staff was very knowledgeable and had a special kit they pull out to make gluten free and safe sandwiches. They used fresh toppings, changed gloves, and toasted it separate and covered. Sandwich was very good.

My favorite sandwich in columbia is GF with Udis bread. Cross contamination is unlikely given the sandwiches are prepared and microwaved on their own plates, so Im sure if you asked them to change their gloves it would be close to 0 cross contamination.
