The thing going for Guaco Taco is that EVERYTHING is gluten free - so no danger of cross-contamination. Food is almost as quick as fast food, so also convenient… but as mentioned in other reviews, it is a popular hangout so it gets super crowded and food isn’t that great to wait for… Agree with the reviewer that said the food is “alright”… everything about this place is just “alright”: food, atmosphere, service, etc. They do have outdoor games for kids and a great patio.

I love Guaco Taco and eat here a couple of times a month. I’m very sensitive celiac and have never gotten sick. My favorite is the shrimp tacos, and my husband loves the cauliquesadilla with steak.

The menu is alright. Missing some things I would’ve expected from a Mexican restaurant. The food is also just alright. When we first found them we enjoyed having a safe place but they started doing events that you have to reserve your table and won’t seat anyone else. We were turned away and it’s not good enough food to bother making a reservation over a week in advance.

Cute little taco shop. Full bar, good margs, and everything (including the kids’ chicken strips) is gluten free. Cozy neighborhood vibe, really wish there were more locations in Austin.

Best gluten free quesadillas ever! I have celiac and never get gluten free quesadillas. They have gluten free one! I ordered the angus steak quesadillas and they were delicious. Pretty much everything gluten free. Since it was our first time they gave me the sampler salsa appetizer free! Definitely try this place you won’t be disappointed. The house frozen margarita was delicious too!

Really good food! I had a good quesadilla! Everything is gluten free. It is a dedicated gluten free facility so this makes me very at ease eating. The queso was really good. Even my none gluten free friends enjoyed this place. As a new celiac it was so exciting to finally eat out somewhere. The prices were also not outrageous. The only thing I would say is if you are used to Texas sized portions then order two entrees because the portions are smaller. I don’t eat a lot so the portions were perfect for me but I know other people in my friend group were surprised at how small everything was. Super great place the environment is really nice.

I have seen some reviews here that said the place is not GF any more. I spoke with the manager, she said the entire kitchen is still GF and there wont be any cross-contact.

The bar has some beers that are GF too.

This place is my new obsession! Sunday all day happy hour on food and drinks, yes please! We ordered a total of six tacos and had a really yummy cocktail. Everything is delicious and fresh and the best part is that it's gluten-free and Celiac safe!!! I'll be making many many many excuses to come all the way up to Leander to dine here from South Austin. Service is great and they are training some new faces. Please make a location closer to meeeee!!!

The waiter told me the owner has celiac and everything out of the kitchen is gluten free. My celiac son loved the queso and chips as well as the OG tacos. It was such a relief to be able to order anything from the menu and not have to worry. We will be regular customers. GF folks keep supporting these establishments. All food menu items are GF. Service was fantastic, food tasted great. I also have a dairy allergy, so they let me know which side items I could eat and were very knowledgeable. They do serve some beer with gluten but that is all the gluten in the place.

Recent reviews of this restaurant are wrong — still 100% gluten free. (They do serve regular beers at the bar, all the food is fine.) Food is delicious, safe for our Celiac family, and my margarita with berry mix was so good!

This place has been my go-to restaurant to just relax and enjoy good, healthy food, so I was so surprised when I saw “four tortillas” on the menu— a crucial typo which should have read “flour tortillas.” I was literally saved at the last minute by my very observant daughter. Though this place used to be all GF, please be careful and ask questions to be safe.

I read reviews so what happen to me today around 11:00 was totally different.I read sign on door saying employees wear mask, not so the young man who took my order stood less than a ft. from me no mask, girl at bar no mask, door to kitchen open and none of cooks had mask.I searched on menus saying 'gluten free' and found none or any sign anywhere saying gluten free.My husband has been in hospital several times for this disease and we Must be careful.

The food 25 $ worth is still in fridge uneaten .I ordered a veg. taco and it consisted on a spoon full of white rice few black beans few pieces of tomatoes and a Narrow short piece of alvacado,

totally terrible, the rest of food maybe good although for prices not acceptable after all the rest that happened.

The neighbor who told me of Guaco Taco will be surprised! I was thrilled to hear of this place as we live close by but from the dangers off no mask [as was stated] to the food,,we will not be back....very sad.

I think I have reviewed Guaco taco already for their yummy crunchy tacos and nachos. I wanted to review the Fish n chips! Deliciously gf fried cod ( I think) and their French fries are delicious. We ordered wings there also for the first time. We were missing them being tossed in sauce- they were plain with wing sauce to dip. But fried chicken Olin for kids who have missed fried chicken. Also my kiddo loved that she could order a quesadilla here. Only place we know that makes corn tortilla quesadillas. Yummy yummy. We do order the family pack of crunchy tacos to go sometimes and it is great!

We’ve always done take out, and our food is still quite good after travel time. Everything served is gf (except beer) and it’s amazing to pick whatever you want off the menu. We ordered for a family gathering and it was so fun to sample bits of all the items without worry. Non-gf eaters liked it, too, so it‘s a win-win!

Everything except the beer is gluten free! Tacos are excellent! Great atmosphere and service. Full bar with five big screen TV’s. It’s a gluten free sports bar... what else could you ask for!
