I have Celiac disease and eat here often. I have never been made sick by them! Despite the other review saying contrary, they do have a dedicated fryer for their chips and I eat them every time I go! Admittedly some of the staff are not knowledgable about what does and doesn't have gluten, but in those cases they have found someone who is to answer my questions.

They make corn tortillas in-house and those are absolutely delicious for street tacos. I also love the Dennise Special when I'm feeling like a splurge, or the Pollo con Queso with corn tortillas is also great.

You cannot order most enchiladas, their red enchilada sauce contains gluten. But much of their menu is perfectly safe for Celiacs to eat. I have bloodwork to confirm that my regular weekly outing to Hacienda el Rey has not caused any issues with my illness.

Would not recommend for someone with a gluten allergy or preference. While the staff is helpful they cannot definitely say which items do not contain gluten. As such, there is not anything on the menu a celiac could definitively eat. The corn chips are cross-contaminated in a shared fryer
