Have eaten at Hanger One a couple of times and not gotten sick, I am Celiac and very sensitive. I am very careful when eating at places like this, I usually order a steak and a plain baked potato or plain vegetables. Food is decent, atmosphere and decor is really cool.

Very knowledgeable staff and really delicious. I come here every time I am in Wichita.
All of the servers are aware of what is made with flour or bread and what isnt. Tonight we went for the 4th time for dinner. It was the first time there was a mistake. They put some fried potato bits on my plate fried in the same fryer as onion rings. I told them when I saw it and they not only immediately fixed it, but I received apologies from my server, the cook, and a manager who bought my meal for me. They are wonderful, truly care, and willing to fix it when they make a mistake.
If I was rating this place for atmosphere and friendly service, I would give them a five. However, since the purpose of these reviews is to help fellow Celiacs find a safe place to eat, a two is the best I could give them.
Even though there is a note on their menus that suggests you speak to a server about GF options, they were all clueless. To add insult to injury, after enjoying a salad (the only safe choice), the waitress offered to scrape the graham cracker crust off the cheesecake so I could have dessert! Seriously?????
This is a wonderful place for non-Celiacs and for those who don't have gluten issues. Don't waste your time if you are.
The wife of the owner has celiacs. Many menu options can be made gluten free. Staff was knowledgeable. There weren't many appetizer options but there were plenty of salads and entrees. I had the fillet with asparagus and loaded sweet potato. It was delicious. The steak was a perfect medium rare.
