Harper's

So based on your recommendation, my husband and I tried Harper's tonight. So delighted to have a separate gluten free menu. Ordered a salad off of it after making sure all dressings were also gluten free. Received a beautiful salad loaded with gluten filled croutons. Waitress apologized like she had maybe served me cold fries or something. Manager was apathetic. We walked out and left our bill. Harper's is not serious about their gluten free support. It's all marketing. Screw them.

HOLD UP! Senior executive called me today. Apologized and explained the server error. He was genuine in his commitment to supporting a gluten free menu as several members of his family deal with celiac disease. I believe his commitment to make sure the menu is appropriately supported.

Amazing doesn't do justice. Atmosphere is beautiful. Service impeccable. Food out of this world!!!

Food was good. Service/knowledgeable staff was okay. Had a new waiter and it was very apparent that he had no training in handling gluten free food; had to make several requests of him and inform him that they did in fact have a gluten free menu when he told me they did not.

Had grilled chicken Caesar salad. God service, knowledgeable staff, large GF menu.

I have been here twice now and both times the staff has been knowledgable and helpful. Great pulled pork and beef brisket.

Kathleen, I respectfully disagree with your rating. You gave Harper's a 1 because of a pasta shell that accidentally fell on your plate that you accidentally ate. You said the management was very apologetic and sympathetic. I don't believe that is cause for a 1 rating. A 1 rating is for food that is inedible or for management that is uneducated and/or unsympathetic (like the manager at Panera Bread who told me they had "nothing on the menu [I] could eat" - when I asked if the lettuce in their salad was GF, he restated that he had nothing that was GF). In all the years I've been going to Harper's, the food has been tasty and I've never had an allergic reaction to what I was served.

great pulled pork! but there was a single small pasta shell mixed in which i didn't catch before eating. manager was apologetic- said he has gf celiac family members. very disappointed
