I wanted to get the shrimp and chicken coconut curry with rice which I had multiple times before being diagnosed with celiac. The curry on this is delicious. I almost order without asking if it’s gluten free considering the ingredients are typically gluten free but my responsible side asks anyway. The waiter goes to the kitchen to inquire and says it can be gluten free if I swap the rice for either beans or mashed potatoes. What the what?!?! I ask why the rice isn’t gluten free and he says because there is flour on it. Whaaat??!!! I got it with beans which wasn’t nearly as good and I just don’t think I can trust a place that puts flour on its rice. I have never heard of this before so they either don’t understand gluten or are doing something totally unnecessary to the rice, sheesh!
