We ate dinner here twice while we stayed at the Otesaga. GF items clearly marked on the menu. Waitstaff was knowledgeable. One waiter even had us fill out a little pink allergens slip to go along with our order. I got Prime Rib one night and the NY Strip the next night. Both were delicious and I didn't get sick. They have an in-house butcher, so the meat is extraordinary! Homemade GF ice cream for dessert! There were GF rolls, but I didn't eat them and I didn't ask how they were prepared, so ask a few questions before you eat them.

Many delicious items on the menu that were listed as GF. My son had the short ribs and I had the NY strip. This is a very cozy spot inside the Otesaga Resort Hotel right on the lake. Staff was knowledgeable!

Absolutely amazing gluten free bread to start dinner. They have many things labeled on the menu, can have at least 1 selection from each section (appetizers, salad, pizza, mains, etc.) Had a thin crust pizza that was very good. No issues, waitress was kind & knowledgeable.

The waitress said they had gluten free bread, but brought gluten bread to the table and did not say a thing. It was a bad night....

The waiters I had both times dining here were knowledgeable and brought my meal out first.
Most of the menu can be made gluten-free if not already marked “GF.”
The staff is amazing here and knowledgeable about gluten and dairy allergies. I had a delicious salad with grilled shrimp and had no cross-contamination problems. I am very sensitive so had it been contaminated, I would’ve known shortly after.

I want to love this place but I got glutened here so bad both times I went. Celiac’s beware!
No
If you can't do cross contamination, don't go. Although they are clean and try not to contaminate, most people don't know what gluten is or what can trigger a reaction. So most items are made with common items. An example would be sandwiches. Ask for mayo or mustard packets.
No
Had a terrible experience. GF knowledge was lacking, service was terrible, portions were skimpy. Would not go back.
You must eat here if you come to Cooperstown. Located in the Otesaga Hotel on the Otesego Lake. We ate on the patio and it was beautiful. Items on the menu are marked GF. My son had the burger with bacon cheese and mushrooms. It was at least a ten ounce patty with great flavor.
gluten free sandwich bread and soups good menu! gluten free pasta too
