Helena's Chocolate Cafe and Creperie

The cashier told me something different she told a friend of mine. A friend of mine was told, they gave two separated areas to prepare the gluten free and non gluten free items. I was told, they are prepared on the same area, but wiped off in between. I tried it regardless and did not get glutened. I tried the Nutella crepe and had a coffee. You get free refills for the coffee. I loved it there. Great ambience in addition to the food. There are also plugs to plug your laptop in. I will be back for certain.

The crepes are cooked on same griddle as non gluten free crepes-this is not GF for cross contamination! Verified this in person

I was at first impressed by Helena's options of Gluten-free crepes and macaroons.

I will no longer be doing business at Helena's due to an incident where they switched my order with my guest who ordered a regular crepe. I asked to make sure my crepe was gluten free and they said it was. After I ate half my crepe I had realized that our orders were switched and I became very upset as I realized I was going to become very sick. I talked to the manager who proceeded to tell me that they take allergies seriously but that I need to expect that these things can happen when I go to a restaurant with gluten and was confused why I wanted to speak with him. Helena's management does not ensure the safety of it's gluten free patrons and I would not recommend this establishment to others.

Never had a problem here and the food is always delicious. I've had both their sweet and savory crepes and both were amazing!

The GF crepe and macaroons were delicious. They were gluten aware and friendly. Overall a top rate experience. I'll be back again and again.

Helena's has gf options. Tried the flourless cake and macaroons, both delicious. Can't wait to try the crepes next time!
