We had an excellent meal at Hen of the Wood. It’s a small menu but about 75% can be made GF. I had the mushroom “toast” with bacon and a poached egg but instead of toast I had salad greens. I also had a delicious striped bass with fingerling potatoes, shredded Brussels sprouts, and a mustard crème fraîche sauce. For dessert I had an oat cake with berries that was very good. Server didn’t have all the answers but wasn’t afraid to go talk to the kitchen regarding my needs. Lovely ambience. You’ll need to make a reservation well in advance.
