Hilo Burger Joint

I love eating at Hilo burgers, they don’t have gluten free buns but the serve all the burgers in bowls and the ones I have eaten are really good.

— Some

How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

— Good

While they don't have a GF menu, they do know how to make their burgers gluten-free. Assuming the burger doesn't have gluten containing ingredients (my server checked to make sure), they simply put it on a salad or rice. And I will say, after having my burger on rice, I now believe that's the proper way a burger should be eaten.

Burger over rice. Kitchen told me not to order fries after they asked if it was “celiac or allergy”. Great knowledge.

Good burger salad. No dedicated fryer, but server caught a mistake in the kitchen and fixed it correctly.

The staff here was great! They don’t have a dedicated menu but just do the burger without the bun or on rice! Also, if your dairy and egg free there burgers are egg free.
