Hobo's Cafe

Hobos is one of my favorites and Key Largo. I get the burger on a plate. They have a couple of seafood dishes that can be served over rice. Just tell the server you’re celiac and they omit the sauce. Three of us celiac have eaten there, and no one has felt gluten’s.

Based on the other reviews, this place might depend on your server. Ours was knowledgeable and helpful and went the extra mile to put salad items on the side in case there was a question. The Key Largo Cobb Salad was delicious.

They do not have a GF menu & have no idea what celiac disease is. Staff annoyed by questions. Strongly recommend avoiding restaurant.

They do not have a GF menu. Friendly and cute place but not GF for a Celiac!! Made a specific order for sautéed calamari with olive oil only. It came with bread on the plate and little bread-like crusty things in the bowl. I had a house salad with no dressing.

Hobo's is a casual place to get a delicious, gluten free meal. When I asked about gluten free substitutions, the server was very accommodating. She asked whether I had celiac disease and if I needed separate utensils for my meal prep. The menu had multiple GF appetizers, salads and entrees, though they were not labeled, so if you're new to GF, you may need help recognizing all the choices.
