I absolutely love this place so much. I have been coming here since right after it opened and have never had a single issue. I am extremely sensitive to cross contamination but Cuban food is naturally gluten free since it’s mostly rice and plantains, so I have never even felt the need to ask about their safety practices. My family is Ecuadorian, and this is about as close as I can get to the food I grew up with. Oh, and they also have the best mojitos in town.

Very tasty! Plantain chips made in a separate fryer. Yummy drinks and food. Did not get sick

I was excited to try this new Cuban restaurant. They had been touting their gluten-free dishes on Facebook. All gluten-free items were clearly marked on the menu, and there were more gluten-free options than not available. I messaged them to ask if there was a dedicated fryer and if necessary precautions are taken to prevent gluten cross contamination in their kitchen. I was assured that they did have a gluten-free, dedicated fryer and that their kitchen staff were aware of precautions to prevent cross contamination. Fortunately, I was armed with my Nima sensor. I tested a portion of all the dishes we ordered including the Cuban guacamole, Cuban Tamal, and Cuban Nachos, and the sensor detected gluten. I realize the Nima sensor is not 100%, and those with only a gluten sensitivity may be able to tolerate small amounts of gluten, but I would not recommend this place for celiacs.
