I'm downgrading this from four stars to two. They seem to have gotten MORE clueless as time passes and you get the sense that they have no idea what's in their food.

Two stars for having a GF menu, but it's horribly limited and the GF veggie burger is advertised as GF but actually contains gluten! Good thing I asked and stressed the importance of my meal being GF and DF or I wouldn't have known! I strongly encouraged the Holy Grail to update their menu and remove this as an option as it can cause people serious consequences!

I want to love this place...a happy pub in a renovated church. But, the gluten free choices here are limited, and I can't say I feel trusting that they know the subject well enough to really service an allergic patron. I have left here hungry due to limited items, while my husband and daughter, who can eat anything, are as happy as can be. I guess what I'm saying is that it is not really GF friendly, but feels more GF risky. I choose other restaurants when possible.

I called ahead to ask if they could accommodate food allergies, and they assured me they were well-versed in proper procedures. I informed my server that I couldn't have anything with gluten in it; she didn't seem to know what was safe for me to eat, but recommended soup and salad. I asked her to please double-check with the kitchen that they were safe to eat, and she told me they were. Upon leaving I became extremely ill, classic gluten-symptoms, and remained so for a good 4 days, the worst I have been in two years. This wasn't just a case of cross-contamination, but had the signs of eating something primarily made of gluten. Would never recommend to someone with food allergies.

Not recommended. I was very sick after eating their gf shrimp scampi. I do not believe they used all gf products.
