I always get the gluten free pulled pork arepas. They are out of this world delicious!

I was excited to try Hope Cafe because I read an article in the local paper that mentioned they had healthy, gluten free options. Some pros and cons of my experience:
Cons: *online menu doesn’t provide consistent GF info; calling takes you to voicemail, which triggers an auto text linking to online ordering. Not helpful.
* beware of trying their special Emoliente tea - it’s made from barley (big time gluten), but this isn’t mentioned in the online menu.
* our quinoa bowls were greasy and over-sauced
*in person, staff wasn’t very friendly- in fairness it could have been all my gluten questions :)
Pros: *the staff answered all our questions and checked with the kitchen on some items to be sure they were GF
*their arepa is gluten free, so they do have more GF options besides the bowls

They have a fee different options for gluten free, the bowls, the eggs, the arepas. Everything is delicious and they are very knowledgeable about what is gluten free and what other allergens are present in their food. It is all made from scratch so they know what is in it. They also have delicious teas and coffees. The atmosphere is very laid back and welcoming and the staff are always so friendly. They also use their profits to support another business that serves the homeless population. So many positives! I have eaten here several times and never gotten sick. Love this place!
