I had a bad experience there. I arrived and told straightforward to the waitress that I had a gluten allergy. She stated that the rice bowl with mushrooms and teriyaki was gluten free (it was noted down as vegan which we know isn't a sign of anything and as gluten free on the allergen chart).

I ordered it plus a kakuni porc belly side that was stated to be gluten free on the allergen chart.

Even thought on the menu in small is also written that their food is GF but not the kitchen and that cross contamination is possible... should have been a big red flag but I saw it later.

The mushroom rice bowl had teriyaki full in it (very salty) and with an egg on it which is not really vegan (an egg that was not listed on the description of the components of it). Its stated vegan but people throw an egg on it and then ask if it's ok for me. Yes I'm gluten allergic not egg allergic. I have the feeling for them GF and vegan is the same thing... Which is another red flag.

The kakuni porc belly that I had for the first time in my life had a very dense soy sauce on it. It wasn't written in the ingredient description that this involved soy sauce.

After eating half of the mushroom rice bowl and two pieces of kakuni porc... I started feeling bloated, having cramps, dizziness, muscle cramps, freezing, headaches, hot and cold shivering... I called the waitress and told her I had an allergic reaction to gluten.

She takes it away and says she's gonna ask the kitchen and no answer of the kitchen but the manager arrives gaslighting me about the fact they are fully gluten free which we know isn't possible if cross contamination can happen, right?

I tell him I want to see the sauces used in my dish but I wait 40 minutes and nothing happens. He just continues to gaslight me about my sympathy and that I should go to the hospital. I'm a foreigner on vacation here, I told him. I'm not gonna go to the hospital when I know the symptoms for 17 years. Plus I'm not health assured here. Plus why should I go to the hospital as there is nothing they can do against my reaction or is it another way to try to hide the fact that they actually food poisoned me?

He said that they use soy sauce because it's not gluten. I told him that soy isn't the only component of soy sauce but when a restaurant mistakes gluten free with vegan, how serious can they be? I believe they don't really care.

As well that outside of gaslighting me, taking my contact mail to not write me today already... nothing has been made. The waitress said she had allergies too and that we have to live with it, that after few hours it's gone ...a cat allergy for example isn't a gluten allergy... I'll be bloated 2 days now and ill and that's how long I'll be here. I'm not happy about this poor quality of management and not happy how they didn't take their responsibilities.

So in my opinion they aren't interested in what they serve neither to get better education on what is really a gluten allergy. Neither in the people visiting their restaurant. Smiling isn't helping when someone has a shock reaction. And doing nothing to help plus gaslighting neither.

So if you are as me suspected to have a strong reaction to gluten, please avoid this place.
