Huck's Catfish

I love going to Huck’s. If you want fried catfish, ask for cornmeal only and tell them it’s because of celiac . They will write it in red . I haven’t had a problem .

Took someone who is celiac with us to Huck’s based on the reviews here. The manager was very friendly and when I asked if they were able to accommodate celiac, she actually went to the kitchen to make sure. Our friend received cornmeal coated catfish, no hush puppies, and felt great after. All of our food was delicious and everyone was respectful. We will definitely be back.

I’ve eaten here a few times now and never gotten sick. I get the gluten free fish and fries. It’s great when you’re craving fried stuff (or even when you’re not because there aren’t really many other options in this area).

I am severe celiac and did not get sick eating here. No GF menu just tell them it’s a health issue and cornmeal only no hush puppies etc. Fries and catfish are safe and fried in separate fryer in separate area.

Dedicated fryer to make fries and catfish (cornmeal coated) for those that request GF. Tasty! My waitress wasn’t sure what else was gluten free but my family really enjoyed the food and it was packed at 3pm… our waitress said they stay very busy.

We got our order to go due to COVID. When I asked about gluten free, the waitress immediately offered a gluten free catfish and fries option cooked in a separate fryer. The catfish was excellent but needed salt. I’m guessing they left out the usual seasoning. My whole family thought it was some of the best fried catfish fish they’ve ever had.

Staff answered questions and when you tell your waiter you are ordering gluten free, they switch to a red pen to help warn kitchen staff.

Celiac friendly?

Yes

No GF menus but can fry fish in GF cornmeal and fresh cut fries in a separate fryer. Have other options and knowledgeable staff. Great Place. Just he sure to tell server you have a gluten allergy.
