Review of Hyman's Seafood Co

They have a gluten free menu. I ordered the Cesar salad and added shrimp. I asked if they had any Ciders. The waitress told me they had Angry Orchard. I said I'll just have water. She said Angry Orchard is cider just so you know. I replied I just don't like that kind and was hoping for something local. She said I have a rice beer. I asked if it was gluten free. She said yes. Then she replied I also have Michelob Ultra and it's gluten free. So as she walked away I had little faith that she knew what she was talking about. I couldn't find anything online about the beer she brought being GF. While I was looking at the can the owner came up and asked what I was curious about. I explained the situation. He took the beer and stated his girlfriend was celiac and understood my concern. He would let the sever know. 5 minutes later she came back with the beer and told me it's gluten free. I've google it. Even though my search turned up nothing. Needless to say I didn't drink it and felt very uncomfortable eating there. The owner was nice and the salad was good. The staff need trained.
