My stay was ok but getting a safe gluten free breakfast was difficult the first day. I had called the hotel before booking and was assured they could accomodate a coeliac friendly gluten free breakfast. I added a note to my booking too. When checking in, I again checked and was told it was no problem but just to let a member of staff know in the morning so they could help me. The first morning the staff had no clue. The buffet was laid out in containers that were divided in two. They had put each gluten free item mect to a gluten containing item. Trying to get help from the staff, the first guy told me 'yeh its just a buffet' when I asked about hiw I could get something to eat. Two more mebers of staff said they needed to ask another person. The last person just brought me a list. None of them seemed to understand the cross contamination risk. They eventually agreed to make me up a fresh breakfast in the kitchen. It was such a hassell and did not make me feel safe having to explain cross contamination to people who clearly knew nothing about it. I spoke with the manager after that and the second morning was much easier as I just spoke to her again and she got it sorted straight away. So if you do stay here, don't get the breakfast and go out for it instead.
