Icebergs Italian Ice & Gelato

We inquired about gluten free options and were told they do not have any gluten containing products. After reading their menu, I noticed both cookies and cream and cheesecake gelato were listed. I asked if those were gluten free, and they then backtracked and said those weren’t safe. I asked about cross contamination and they told me their machines were safe from cross contamination because they are sanitized. Not long after, I received a reply that if my child was “that sensitive to gluten” I should stick to the Italian ice. I have no faith it would be safe from cross contamination. Please be warned. There is clearly some misunderstanding and lack of education on what gluten is and where it can be found. I do not want anyone falling into the trap of misinformation.
