In-n-out has been a lifesaver at times and sometimes triggers a flare-up. This location is a risky choice if you order the protein style burger marked allergy to gluten. Lately the young female person (I could see through the nice drive thru window) has not been good about cross contamination. Lettuce wrapped burger sitting in the line with gluten bun burgers…it’s ok I say…I’ll be ok…as the girl slides each of the burgers over with the same gloves on, she slides my lettuce wrapped burger over and then cups her hands and sort of pats the lettuce as if she’s appreciating a pretty flower or object or something. I turned to my partner and said this might trigger me but I’m gonna test it anyways. Well yes folks celiac flare-up. Gluten sensitive ok….but darn. Stick to animal style fries. I can only blame myself for going back again but I thought if I order a Flying Dutchman which is basically two onions as the bun with the burger in the middle I’d be safe. Guess what. Same gal from what I could see same body shape hair color etc. on the grill cooktop she was placing gluten buns on the actual burgers on the grill I’m sure to keep things moving quickly. The cross contact came when she spatula my onion burger thing up, puts her fingers in the top of the burger to keep it from sliding with the same fingers she touched all the other burgers with as she unloaded each patty topped with gluten bun order from the grill. This is not respectful of allergy to gluten. Yes I got sick again. My fault. Beware. Now I go for fries and a shake only. Stay healthy ya’ll :)
