Best fast food chain allergy protocol!! Order "Protein Style” burger (lettuce wrap) or “Flying Dutchman” (no bun/wrap) & let them know you have a gluten/dairy/ etc allergy! They'll take care of the rest: glove change, separate grill, work station, supplies. Fries are also GF. If you order within a group, they bag the allergy order separately than the rest. But you definitely have to say "allergy" ordering it lettuce wrap is not enough to let them know.

Their burgers are not celiac friendly. The burgers are cross contaminated, they grill the burgers on the same grill that toasts the buns.

Since no one has mentioned it, get a Flying Dutchman!! It’s just 2 patty’s and 2 pieces of cheese. I get it mustard fried and grilled onions. Cut it up and put it on top of the fries with spread and you got animal fries with burger. I don’t like getting protein style cuz the lettuce takes away from the flavor and it’s iceberg lettuce so it doesn’t even have any nutritional value. Always tell them you have a gluten allergy and they will cook on a separate grill.

Found In-and-out during our trip through California and Nevada. As their protein-style burgers and fries are a no-brainer for gf meals, we went there more than once.

I have never had an issue once telling them it’s a Gluten Allergy. The only gluten in the store is the buns! I was told buns are toasted separately from where the burgers are cooked and the only thing even in the fries is the fries themselves.
