Very helpful waiter! I ordered the nachos and mentioned I had celiac and the waiter responded with a detailed response explaining the nachos were cooked in a shared fryer and could have cross contamination. The waiter then volunteered to check with the kitchen to see if the kitchen could bake them instead. When the waiter returned they reported that the kitchen had a “new” setup and used a dedicated gluten free fryer.
I mention this since a recent reviewer said there was no dedicated fryer. It’s possible this reviewer visited amid a kitchen reconfiguration since my waiter referred to it as “new”.
Given the attention paid by the waiter, I felt confident the kitchen was taking the precautions necessary. The nachos were fine (not enough chicken and too much pico) but I was grateful to eat out without anxiety and I had no reaction afterwards!
Also, their Sorghum-based gluten free beer is fantastic!

I have celiac and had the best experience here!! Wanted to take a day trip out of Boston and was surprised to see this place had good ratings since it’s a brewery. I called the day before and spoke to Miles (chef/manager) whose wife has celiac. He handles all the allergies and took me through what I could and could not have the menu and was extremely knowledgeable. They have a GF beer! We shared truffle tots (baked instead), chicken nachos, and a ceaser salad. Will absolutely be returning it felt amazing to be able to participate in going to a brewery again!!!!

Gluten free beer is delicious! Highly recommend! They do have a dedicated GF fryer… they did inform me that it is adjacent to the non-GF fryer and cross contamination could potentially happen that way. They also made sure to bake my veggie burger separate to ensure no cross contamination. We had a fantastic meal and the wait staff were so helpful and accommodating. Wish I lived closer to go all the time! Did not get sick and I am VERY sensitive.

Really friendly waitress/bartender. Ordered burger on GF bread and asked to take off cheese (dairy sensitivity). Also, got a their fall special apple cider rose sangria (GF).

I had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately, the rumors of a dedicated fryer were not true. Either they lied to that person, or they stopped having one. Still a fair amount of options and they seem to take allergies seriously. The burger was a bit underwhelming; I should have ordered something else. The gf beer is pretty good.

Ipswich Brewery was a staple of my restaurant rotation before my celiac diagnosis, and thankfully it still is. With a plethora of menu options, a delicious GF Beer and wine and sangria options, this is a home run all around.
