I write this with a heavy heart, I’m a big fan of supporting local and the staff is very sweet, however, this restaurant is not a celiac safe place.

Had a date night here with my fiancé. In looking over the menu they had a bunch of GF options for appetizers but only one entree (steak). I choose the Tuna Tataki (it said GF on the menu at the restaurant) I asked the waitress if it was truly GF because I had Celiac (it was made with sweet soy but there are GF options out there so I wanted to make sure) she assured me it was, and suggested I get a side salad with my steak as the truffle fries came from a shared frier (Bummer, but I appreciated her honesty and knowledge) I kept the menu to look over the options for the future(big foodie over here) I did notice the majority of the apps and small plates that were GF were fried.

Meals took a while to come out (45min -1hr) didn’t mind it was date night after all… my tuna came out with the steak (not a problem) unfortunately, my steak came out with the fries so I had to send it back. 2nd steak came back way too fast and cold with the requested salad(clearly original steak) brought it to the waitress attention she felt terrible and the chief offered to make a brand new one . Appreciated it but I declined as I no longer felt it was safe to eat there.

With all that said …. My Tuna was amazing.

If you are not sensitive Celiac or can handle cross contamination GO FOR IT! The options looked awesome and the staff is lovely!! But I felt the need to share my experience as I did get sick the following 2 days.

Let’s see. Within an hour I was nauseous and lightheaded and by the time I was in bed I was thrashing around in bed with stomach cramps and gas. Stayed home from work and reflected on how bad my life stinks.
