Iron Roost

I love the Iron Roost! They have a gluten free menu, which is amazing! They can’t guarantee there is no cross contact but assured me they would try their best. The food is absolutely incredible! I’ve had both sweet and savory waffles. Their South West Fiesta waffles are out of this world! The homemade salsa is amazing!! I highly recommend (but only if you feel comfortable eating at a location that also serves gluten in their kitchen).

I really appreciated the separate gf menu (makes it so much easier) though when I told the cashier I have celiac and asked if their gf waffles are on a dedicated waffle maker, she said “we can’t promise anything but we try.” Not particularly comforting but I went ahead with it. The gluten free waffles are great, though they only provided one while gluten eaters in my party received two. I don’t mind a gf surcharge but would’ve preferred the option to pay a few bucks extra for the same amount instead of leaving feeling hungry.

Iron Roost has the most delicious gluten free waffles I have ever had, with many different options of toppings. The staff is well educated as to celiac & gluten sensitivity and all gluten free food is prepared & cooked separately. The waffles are so tasty that if I lived in Ballston Spa, I would probably eat there every day!

I cannot say enough positive things about this place. Upon entering, we were asked if we had any allergies, intolerances, or dietary needs. I said that I was gluten free due to celiac, and I was given a separate menu. I chose a southwestern egg dish that was served over what was possibly the best gf waffle on the planet! It was absolutely delicious! My husband had very berry waffles, and those could have been made gf too. I wanted to go back on Sunday, but they were closed. :( They also offer some gf baked goods from Two Birds. The scone I had was heaven. Not that it’s related to being gf, but the place was so funky and cool…welcoming, great decor, great coffee. You will not be disappointed here!

INCREDIBLE YOU HAVE TO STOP HERE!!! Their gluten food is equally incredible so your gluten eating friends/family won’t mind the request to eat here. The buttermilk waffles were AMAZING I thought they accidentally gave me real waffles they were that good. I bought their gluten free waffle mix to take home with me too. They had gf scones and cookies as well. They have savory waffles too. The aesthetic was also 10/10, 10/10 service everyone was incredibly nice. If I lived here I’d be a regular. I can’t tell you how amazing this place was!

Ah-mazing!!!! My first waffles in three years (since my diagnosis)! Other five people I was with, who don't have allergies, were head over heels too! I cannot recommend highly enough!

So many options here! Waffles, desserts, even random things like pasta salad to-go. The waffles here are delicious, probably some of the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had celiac for a long time!) I can’t recommend this place enough for breakfast.

Omg! Delish sweet and savory gluten free. Celiac friendly. Will return for sure.

This place is a gem! Whenever we are in the area, we stop at the Iron Roost. The first time we went, I was nervous they had mixed up my order because the gluten free waffles were so good. Both their lunch and breakfast menus are delicious and I have never been sick. A safe, yummy breakfast is a luxury for a celiac, and this place has it perfected!

Have entire gluten free (and vegan) menus. have a dedicated separate food prep station and grill and waffle maker for gf. Food tastes amazing, there were so many options I had a hard time choosing. unsure about Celiac's safety though

The food was great! If you’re super sensitive to gluten, not a place I would recommend. My daughter had a severe reaction after having the vegan waffle with syrup. My son and I didn’t have a reaction, but hers was bad enough that we won’t return to this restaurant again. :-(

Almost as celiac friendly as a restaurant gets. The waffle was so good that I was nervous they got my order mixed up! Great food and a great atmosphere. I only wish they would start opening on Mondays.

Best gf waffles and super friendly

I wish I could give this 10 stars. This was the best waffle I've ever had, even before I had to go gf. We went back two days in a row while vacationing near here. Be prepared to wait a little while but it's more than worth it. Once you get a table, fast service and very friendly. Fresh ingredients, just amazing!
