Irving Subs

I was bummed when I went here today (Sunday) and they basically turned me away, saying that if I’m Celiac then I probably shouldn’t risk eating there. I had just called about an hour before to ask someone and it sounded like it would be okay. They had lots of takeout orders and she said that they couldn’t guarantee it was safe, even if they made it separately. I appreciated that honesty. It sounded like there were crumbs in the ingredients since everything is so close together. Maybe if it hadn’t been so busy then would have been safer, but after the experience today I’m not planning on going back. Ended up grabbing lunch at Game Parlour which is a dedicated GF facility a couple blocks away.

How confident are you that this establishment takes safety precautions against cross-contact?

How much of the menu is available gluten-free?

— Some

When you order gf bread they give you two small sandwiches to make up for the small bread size. As far as I can tell not a separate toaster but I haven’t gotten sick.
