Staff was very attentive and was able to accommodate. We had veggies instead of pita and they were able to swap things out so I was able to try a few dishes. Plan to return!

I have a celiac disease and unfortunately have to follow a strict diet. Otherwise I get sick terribly. I’m usually afraid to go out to eat.
But Istanbul Hawaii never failed me. I do dine there quite often. They have so many delicious, healthy gluten free options with humanely raised and certified protein options.

Amazing restaurant with lots gluten-free choices. I have a celiac disease and love that this place exists in Honolulu. I eat there at least once every week.

Update Dec. 2020: got violently sick the fifth time bring takeout from here. Will not be back and can’t recommend consistency for celiacs.
The server spoke to the owners and all the chefs after placing our order and before charging us to make sure everyone knew protocol. They handled it easily, changed gloves, used a separate prep area and all. Their grill does not have gluten cooked on it, so all kebabs are safe except the donner. GF options all marked on the menu. Very, very tasty food! We live in the neighborhood and will be back weekly. Both my partner and I have celiac and we’re so thrilled this opened up near us
