It's Greek To Me

This restaurant was so delicious we went there twice in a week. I got the Mediterranean Cod both times with rice pilaf, chick pea salad and Greek salad. Menu clearly marked gluten free.

Although food was tasty with good-sized portions, sorry to say that even before meal ended I felt sore area in my mouth which for me is result of incidental exposure to gluten (cross contamination). As is my pattern, by next AM developed multiple, painful canker sores which will plague me for several days. I had chicken kebab with Greek potatoes & salad. My husband & I shared roasted red pepper hummus appetizer which I dipped using cucumbers, Kalamata olives, and tomato slices. He ate using pita but only from dollops of hummus he placed on a separate plate using clean utensil & never double dipped my serving. I’ve eaten similar Greek dishes elsewhere without problems, so can only assume cross contamination occurred in kitchen. Restaurant was not busy as we ate lunch about 2PM, and I told server that I have celiac disease. We will NOT eat here again.

Excellent GF experience! Wait staff familiar with allergen processing and what I could safely order. No French fries because of a shared fryer was my biggest complaint. Also no GF pita bread, but they brought it anyway so my husband could enjoy it. They also brought my salad with the bread so I would have something to eat with everyone else. Delicious food and great experience!

Kids (both celiacs) rated it 6 out of 5 stars! Big portions, taste, plenty of GF options and casual enough to be comfortable going with 3 young kids. Service was prompt, food ready quickly and no issues with cross contamination.

Wonderful place to eat. Lots of options. I had chicken souvlaki with the chicken soup, green beans and baked potato. Superb service and excellent coffee.

Everything on the menu was marked if it was gluten free, and about 50% of the menu was. Doubled checked multiple times with the waiter that there were really no adjustments that had to be made, and I even watched him go back to tell the kitchen to be extra careful.

It’s been 7 years since I’ve gotten that sick from eating gluten.

Please be careful if you choose to come here! I thought it would be a great spot based on other reviews but I’m so sick.

After reading other reviews we decided to brave it. The atmosphere is good & we were excited to see a gf marked menu. After confirming multiple times with the server, we ordered a dish that was also marked gf on the menu & they said they confirmed with the kitchen. I was a little worried about how flippant they seemed. Well, our daughter, who is celiac, is now violently throwing up. So much for a vacation treat :( We’re sad and frustrated. We would not recommend.

This was recommended to me by a Gluten Free bakery in town. It was fabulous. They were very knowledgeable about gluten. I felt I was in good hands. It was delicious. I would go back. Normal size portions. Had other options besides seafood.

I had the stuffed grape leaves with lemon potatoes and and a Greek salad. Delicious and they knew exactly what was gf. Amazing rice pudding and also creme caramel for gf desserts. Large portions, very friendly and helpful. This sensitive celiac and my celiac daughter didn’t get sick at all. Highly recommend!
