I went to the downtown SLC location and had a delicious gluten free meal. I stuck to nigiri and they were very conscious and brought out the tamari automatically. No problems and it was exceptionally delicious

This is one of the scariest types of restaurants. They appear to know gluten free and then do don’t execute well at all and don’t take precautions for cross contact. They also mixed up the gluten free and regular sauce.

They charge extra to make things gluten free and say they can make many things this way. I have not had any noticeable problems with eating here. The staff was helpful

Very disappointed. Had to pay +$3 for each roll to be gf. Told me they had gf fried tempura and only later learned there is only one fryer - so it is very much gluten contaminated.

Ordered takeout online from here. They have a specific option to make the item gluten free (they charge an extra $1, but I feel prices are affordable enough, it doesn’t bother me for the price of safety). Most everything can be made gf. They DO have a separate dedicated fryer at this location. We always order 4 rolls, including a Vegas roll (deep fried). In our to-go bag, they even included a small container of gf soy sauce (instead of the usual soy sauce packets) and all of the containers were labeled “GF”. Very pleased with their attention to detail especially for takeout when it’s hard to confirm how your food was handled! We’ve eaten from here several times over the pandemic and I’ve never had an issue.

I had heard they had a separate fryer but they don’t. They have gluten free tempura but they fry it in the same oil as non gluten free. The sushi I got was great though.
And I don’t feel very well after getting 2 rolls.

I ordered 3 rolls. The only ones that didn’t have tempura (they have gluten free batter but not a dedicated fryer) and with no imitation crab. The waiter was knowledgeable and helpful.... but I don’t think the kitchen staff was. 2 of the 3 rolls came with imitation crab regardless of it not being listed on them menu and asking to be gluten free. Contaminated.
