We went there for takeout tonight because there were so many GF, DF, & V items clearly marked on their menu. I LOVE that they have dedicated GF fryers, so I could actually have fish & chips. The waitress was very friendly, and though they seemed short-staffed, the wait wasn’t too bad. The meals themselves were pretty good. Not as good as the no-longer-in-business Corbett or Hawthorne Fish Houses in Portland & Vancouver, which closed at the start of the pandemic and will forever be mourned, but still decent. I was worried that the 2 pieces of fish wouldn’t be enough (Portland Fish Market’s standard portion is 3), but they and the (greasy) fries filled me up anyway. One thing I especially liked was that the tartar sauce came in a biodegradable paper container instead of plastic. We will definitely add this to our list of safe places to eat in Newport.
