Jalapeño Inferno

Called before hand and they said the chips were gluten free and not cooked in a shared fryer. Drove across town and showed up and asked again in person. A manager told us the chips are cooked with shared fryers and not gluten free.

There is a gf menu here. Our server was not familiar with gluten free. We were offered corn tortilla chips. Not much spice to any dishes. Great for those wanting Very mild food.

Staff does not know anything about food allergies. Be VERY clear and VERY cautious. Double check everything, and don't trust when you're server seems to be on top of it. It's best to verify with management that your food will be gf. Julie, part owner, will take care of you if she is there. I haven't seen her in a long time, but it still doesn't hurt to ask, sometimes having "an in" is all it takes to get better service (used to do business with her years ago, she's great). Everytime I've eaten here, without having a manager who's monitoring and knows about gf, I've had a problem. Otherwise, if a food allergy isn't an issue, this place it great, and the staff is friendly. Their food is VERY good, just not gf friendly at all. FYI don't trust the corn chips no matter what they say. They must scoop them with the same utensil or something.

Great food. Watch closely for GF items. Our order came out with flour tortilla's & we had to get the corn. Another reason to not have table runners. Our waitress would have known better. Also I suspect there might have been some cross contamination of chips! Great place. Just be a mindful consumer. Went again last night & sick today! Talked to manager & all food is cooked in same oil. All is cross contaminated! They are not GF free. Found flour tortillas chips mixed in again with corn. They really need to stop serving a GF menu. Very misleading. Manager asked if server told us everything is cooked together. They have never mentioned anything! Not a GF place to go. Unless you are prepared to feel bad the next day & get set back 6 months on your diet!!!

Amazing food! I bring my own chips though and happy to do so to enjoy their salsa! Do not eat their corn chips because they're stored too close to the flour chips. Tequila lime shrimp tacos with corn tortillas are outstanding. I'm always leery of Spanish rice so I request double beans instead. Add a frozen margarita to complete the meal.

wait staff not knowledgeable. caution on chips - they mix with flour chips. waiter continued to bring mixed chips eventhough we asked for just corn.

This restaurant is NOT safe for those with celiac. The manager said as much after a discussion about kitchen procedures and cross contact. The menu is confusing and misleading. Jalapeno no go for me.

Agree with other reviewer, it was a pleasant surprise to find a gluten free menu. Nice selection and delish!

Surprised to find a GF menu. Lots of good options. Very tasty
