Jenning’s Cafe is all about gluten free — true, free from cross contamination gluten free safe for people with celiac. Their fries don’t contain gluten and are fried on a shared fryer — they’re marked not gluten free (!). They offer real food (as well as sandwiches and salads) that are gf (my fave is the beet salad with salmon). The meatloaf is gluten free (when was the last time you had meatloaf?) and has a side of mashed potatoes. The servers are knowledgeable and last time the owner came around to ask if our meal was good — love it.

The restaurant has several gluten free meals noted on the menu, including gluten free bread. I ordered a sandwich with gluten free bread. After nearly finishing the meal, the waitress came to apologize and said she I had been eating regular bread in the meal, as she had forgotten to note gluten free bread since she did not write down my order. While the GF options seem good at this restaurant, the lack of concern from the staff make this a dangerous place to eat if you are gluten free or celiac.

Gluten free bread was amazing. They are able to make almost all sandwiches and burgers gluten free. The menu was clearly labeled which items are gluten free.
