I order from this location all the time & never have an issue. They take extra precautions to keep things separate & change gloves

When I asked the staff how they handle Gluten Free they asked “preference or allergy?” If it is a food preference they take no precautions but continue to handle the gluten free products with cross-contaminated gloves. He also told me they use the same set of toppings for regular or gluten free because “we don’t touch the toppings with the bread.” When I pointed out that they’re touching the bread with their hands and then touching the toppings, which cross-contaminates the toppings the guy shrugged and said “we haven’t had anyone complain yet.” He made it clear that he really didn’t care what happened to people he served. As I was leaving, someone came in with an allergy, so I decided to observe the process. While I was there and I watched the guy take off his gloves and proceed to wipe the counter down with a dirty rag. Then he took the dirty cross-contaminated rag and wiped down the meat slicer. He did this all with his bare hands and never even washed his hands once. Then, with un-gloved hands, he proceeded to handle the gluten bread on the bread rack while looking for a gluten free bun. Without washing his hands, he then located and handled the gluten free bun. I not only question their gluten free handling process but the establishment’s general hygiene practices. If you have Celiac or Gluten intolerance, or just like sanitary food prep, stay away from this place.

We have been several times now. Always a good experience. Lots of options. Staff is knowledgeable.

I was in town for work and everyone ordered together. I called ahead and stressed that I needed gluten free and dairy free. I asked them to add bacon. My sandwich was delivered with cheese melted all over the contents. No bacon. I didn’t have lunch.

Jersey Mike’s is the only sub chain I trust to eat food from. They clean all equipment, change gloves, and get toppings from the back for my sandwich on gluten free udis sub. They have gluten free packaged snickerdoodles for dessert.
