Jerusalem Shawarma

Incredible food! I’ve eaten at this location and the west end location. All the meats are gluten free except the donair meat. My favourite is the Royal Kabab plate, comes with three different meats, and the garlic sauce that comes along with it is an absolute favourite. The hummus is also a contender for best I’ve ever had. To make the plates gluten free they do not serve it with pita and omit the pita chips from the salad, and the plates are a ton of food.

The salad is cross contaminated because they serve the lettuce and the pita chips with the same gloved hand. When I’ve asked, they’ve been more than willing to serve my salad from a fresh bin from the back (even when I went a very busy Friday evening).

I have not tried or asked about the fries or falafel, so unsure whether those have gluten/could be in a shared fryer. Avoid tabbouli salad as it is made from cracked wheat.

Majority of the menu is gluten free so easy to order just avoid pita chips and bread. Staff were knowledgeable when I told them I had a gluten allergy.
