Jethro’s BBQ ‘n Jambalaya

I ate at the Pork Chop location and got CC from the brisket platter with a side salad. Odd to have a gluten free menu but not take necessary precautions to ensure the food is actually safe.

How confident are you that this establishment takes safety precautions against cross-contact?

— Not at all

— Not Much

How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

— Poor

They do have a gluten free menu. I inquired about the mashed potatoes (which comes with gravy and was not on the GF menu) because I wanted to know if they would be GF without the gravy. The waitress was super nice and said she would go check. When she returned she said that the manager said “no” but the cook said “yes”. I didn’t want to risk it so I ordered everything from their GF menu. I ordered a ham steak, green beans and potato salad. The ham was white with no color, dry and tasteless. The green beans were gross and the potato salad was just something pre-made and sold anywhere, nothing special. Horrible food and overpriced. I will not go back.

Gluten Free menu, but nothing is actually gluten free. They don't have dedicated kitchen space for GF stuff. Wings are fried in same stuff as everything else. Their main BBQ sauce is not GF according to the GM and the meat was real dry without it.

Will not be returning.

Server accidentally brought my side salad with croutons and just by the look on my face she realized what had happened, apologized over and over and immediately took the salad to make another. I trust this place and will be returning many times!

BBQ sauce is GF; good stuff!
