Wow! Jewel’s Bakery and Cafe is the best food that I’ve had since being diagnosed with Celiac Disease over 3 years ago. The AZ hot chicken sandwich was incredible! They have amazing GF cheese curds!!!! If you have to wait for a table, just relax and do the wait. I promise it’ll be worth it! This cafe needs to be in every city!

2nd time is a charm. I wasn't able to come last time I was in Phoenix. I got the the df cherry cupcake and the pecan bar didn't get the picture, the pecan bar was so absolutely delicious and I ate it the next day. I also had the dairy free Chicken Basket which came with fries, cole slaw, and a sauce, I got the jalapeño aioli and it was so good.

Love this place for those with Celiac disease. Such a great find for both breakfast and lunch. I had to try the Chicken and Waffles and it was fantastic. Waffles are the best GF I have ever had. Liked it so much and went back for lunch during my stay in Phoenix and had the chicken sandwich which was equally as good.

This place was fantastic! So nice to visit somewhere that was 100% gluten free while in town. My dad is not gluten free, and he said he had the best omelette he’s ever had in his life! Great food and baked goods as well. Highly recommend!

Dedicated gf AND delicious! Felt so good to look at the menu and know I could order anything. It's all about comfort food, here. I had the biscuits & gravy and it was so good I was almost in tears. The hashbrowns were excellent, too, and it was so nice not to have to worry about shared fryer, etc. I tried a few of the baked goods and they were great (especially the brownie; I'd say skip the pecan bar, it was kinda gloppy). Arrived right at opening time and there was already a cluster of people ready to go in. This place's popularity is well founded. Breakfast & lunch only (wish they did dinner, too). Definitely go here if you are in the Phoenix area!

Very nice dedicated gluten free brunch place. Only disappointing thing was that their baked goods, waffles, pancakes, and fried chicken strips contained oat flour (which a lot of celiacs, like myself can’t tolerate even if the oats are certified gluten free.) It was definitely disappointing but it was still a nice restaurant. Their lattes were amazing!!

I was introduced to Jewel’s a few years ago. It is a must visit every time I return to Phoenix! I loved the Hot AZ Chicken Sandwich. Others in my group enjoyed the fish and chips and the Asian Peanut Chicken Salad. The baked goods are always amazing!

What a wonderful find in Phoenix. A dedicated gluten free bakery and cafe. We arrived at 11:30 for lunch and got the last table. This is a very popular spot. The food was amazing! I had the chicken and waffles with buttermilk maple syrup. Chicken had a crispy coating and was moist and delicious. The waffle was perfect - light and fluffy. My friend enjoyed a classic breakfast dish that came with a huge fluffy pancake. There were so many tempting choices on the menu like fish and chips, prickly pear bbq pork sandwich, wraps and vegan options ..... also a bakery to take some goodies when you leave. Superb service, good value and everything 100% gluten free.❤

Food was great but fair warning that this place is pretty busy. We arrived a half hour after opening (9:30 am) on a Saturday and only got a spot because there were only 2 of us; there was already a wait for larger groups. The second time I went was 1pm on a Tuesday and there was a 15 minute wait for all parties; again, I got in fairly quickly because there was just one of me, the larger parties had a longer wait. If you come during peak tourist season, it's a good idea to get reservations.

On to the food! I got chicken and waffles which was completely delicious, it's served with a phenomenal sweet-and-sour sauce and a buttermilk frosting dip. I also asked for homemade jam. All of it was delicious, safe and filling!

The second time around I got chilaquiles, whoch were alright. All the food here is heavy, like it sat with me for a while and made me sleepy rather than energized. My friend got the soyrizo bowl and said it said oddly in her stomach.

All that being said, I'd absolutely come back, and I wish I had one in my hometown! It's too delicious to pass up.

I came here a year ago and had the hot chicken sandwich which was to die for. I’m back in town for a conference and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to come back - for the fried chicken and pickle chips. Everything I’ve had here is amazing and the choices for a celiac are so awesome. Highly recommend.

Awesome that everything is gluten free, but after all the raving reviews I was pretty disappointed. All the breads were missing salt or something in the batter - the waffles, the donut holes, and even the breaded chicken. Syrup was yummy, bacon, ham, and hash browns were excellent, but the main attraction (the breads) tanked for me. I was really looking forward to something delicious and gluten free. Instead it was something ok and gluten free.

Update: my husband who is not gluten free said he thought everything was really good. Guess I’m really picky!

So good. So many choices. We had the pcd - popcorn chicken and donut holes. Those are not popcorn chicken they are good size nuggets. The donut holes are good size too. Donut holes are yeasty style (not cake) like you rarely find. I had the biscuits and gravy. Really good but a little different. It's not sausage gravy, might have been ham. Good. The scrambled eggs were the best restaurant scrambled eggs I've had in many years. BF had the chicken and waffles AZ hot. He was surprised they weren't very hot. The sauce he had was only a touch hotter than what came w the donut holes. We will be back.

Absolutely the most incredible gluten free experience! Everything is outstanding. Lots of choices from healthy to comfort food. The baked goods are delicious! Don’t forget to try the juices they are also outstanding. Huge fan and if you happen to live here or visit, it is a MUST!

This place is amazing!!! We were here for 3 days and ate here 3 times! Biscuits and gravy to die for - and the potatoes are so good! Churro waffles, eclair (huge!), cookies (to go) all so good. Got several kinds of cookies to go and three days later they were still good (kept them in the hotel fridge). I haven’t had biscuits and gravy in 30 years and these did not disappoint. I’m only disappointed that I had to leave this city 😂

I am so happy I ate breakfast here. I had an amazing, fluffy, thick waffle and 3 fried, not greasy, chicken fingers. I took half home. I used the buttermilk syrup, so tasty. My husband, not celiac, said his Monte Cristo sandwich was the best gluten-free thing he ever ate. It has been 22 years! I did not buy any of the delicious looking pastries, as there is oat flour in everything. I did not react at all. A real gem for those with celiac!

I have been wanting to visit each time I’ve been to Arizona the last few years and could never make it due to timing. This trip, I was determined and made sure we went for Sunday brunch. Easily the best gluten free brunch I’ve ever had. It was so hard to pick what to order because so many things sounded amazing.

We ended up ordering: Pickle chips Donut holes AZ Hot Chicken sando Chicken and waffles We also got a dairy free cinnamon roll to go.

Everything we ordered was incredible. I think it also helps that there was no order anxiety due to Jewel’s being a dedicated gluten free restaurant. My non-celiac husband said that the waffles were some of the best he’s ever had.

10/10 recommend. The staff were friendly and the service was perfect.

Wow- we had to wait an hour to be seated on a Saturday during brunch time, but it was well worth the wait. My daughter had the chicken and waffles and she said they were the best she’s ever had. She has Celiac, so it was so nice for her to be able to indulge.

Yep this place is a dream for those with food allergies. I mean - donut holes + fluffy waffles + fried chicken?! Sign me up! While I was on vacation, me and my family stumbled upon this little bakery. Everything was gluten free and the “Classic Waffles & Chicken” were on a whole different level. Our server was OK but not great. Throughout my family, there were a lot of different opinions about the Cafe. So don’t hate me if you are not a big fan. In all, I thought the food was pretty good, and there was a great selection of gluten free options.

OMG! If you're in Phoenix, you need to run to Jewel's Bakery and Cafe and get one of their $8 gluten-free cinnamon rolls. This actually has the correct yeasted bread texture. These were incredible.

Also tried the cannoli cupcake and lemon raspberry cookie. While they were good, the cinnamon roll was FANTASTIC. 10/10 cinnamon roll.

They're a 100% gluten free restaurant and bakery which was fantastic for a celiac like me. Thanks to @eatglutenfreeaz on IG for the tip to eat here.

While I just got my bakery items to go, there is table service here. It's a very casual vibe.

Jewel’s is truly a gem! I am a sensitive celiac and had no issues here. Tried the cheese curds, chicken and waffles, and brownie. They were all delicious and safe for me. Also, large portions!

🌼Everything is gluten free here, and our server was knowledgeable and personable. It's just amazing! We loved the popcorn chicken, cheese curds, buttermilk chicken sandwich and waffle fries. All the items were delicious.There were so many menu choices that looked enticing it was a challenge to narrow it down, what a nice position to be in. The bakery items looked really good also. The wait was almost nothing, and the staff was super friendly, kind, and patient. My family each tried a different food and we all thought it was DELICIOUS! Best gluten free restaurant I’ve been to since going gluten free 7 years ago. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Went twice during a 5 day stay in Phoenix. It was great knowing everything was GF. They had a lot of dairy free options too. We were excited to try foods that you can’t get at most restaurants. This is the easiest review I have ever written. If you are celiac or super GF and ever in Phoenix area you MUST make the pilgrimage to Gluten Free Mecca at Jewel’s and bow before the awe inspiring gluten free goodness. All the foods you thought you’d never enjoy again in a full flavor manor are there in their soft, spongy, and delicious goodness. Pastries, waffles, pancakes, even cheese curds! Bought GF cinnamon rolls to go here. $7.65 + tax per roll. Disappointing flavor of mostly baking powder or baking soda. Looks like a lot of cinnamon in the roll but I couldn’t really taste it. Frosting is not a cream cheese frosting and tastes bland. Would not buy these again. Can make better rolls myself using Bob’s Red Mill GF bread mix. The cafe was very busy with customers waiting for tables. Have read other reviews of less than impressive service. I’m gluten sensitive not celiac so can’t comment on the entire menu.
