I have been to the Jim N Nicks in Tuscaloosa and they are inconsistent. I have had excellent servers very knowledgeable about celiac and some not so great. I would avoid this Jim N Nicks at all cost. Neither the server nor the manager knew what gluten free meant and looked at me like I was crazy. They said the cooks “may” know what it is but it’s not likely. So I stuck with plain chicken which was just okay. And forget southern hospitality. It’s lacking more than their knowledge of the food they serve. It’s unfortunate as this establishment used to be excellent and we were dedicated customers. Unfortunately not so much now...

I have had Jim & Nicks a couple of times in the last 11 months, when it left me not feeling so great. Food has been fabulous, menu is marked for gf. I have stayed away from the bbq sauce, just in case. 6/19 - came away feeling sick again - bbq sauce????
Delicious beyond words...all the sauces were gluten free. Service was prompt and super friendly. Only downside was the allergen menu is more old fashioned chart style and less user-friendly. Well worth the effort however.

Almost the entire menu has a gluten free option. Not sure if celiac friendly?

I’ve been to Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q numerous times in Alabama and see they have one now in Covington GA. They have several items on the menu marked gluten free. Their ribs and meats are fantastic!
I personally love the ribs dry because they have so much flavor. I usually go with the baked beans because they’re perfectly sweet and smoked and the Cole slaw which is sweet and tangy. They put something in the Cole slaw that gives it something extra and I love it.

I called ahead of time to ask about their menu and the person I spoke to was very helpful and knowledgeable. They gave me more info about the menu and I did not get sick. Great choice for BBQ!
