GF options. Be aware of the condiments if you are celiacs. They use the spatulas on the bread.
I love getting an unwich when I'm travelling. However, at this location I have been yelled at, told I'm "wrong" and been altogether disrespected. Most of the employees are completely ignorant and make the entire experience terrible. Their customer service is horrible.
Do an 'unwich' (lettuce wrap). Avoid roast beef and cheese.
The unwich is a great gluten free sandwich. Pretty much any sandwich u like in a lettuce wrap. Great service and experienced staff
I always order the "unwich" from Jimmy Johns and watch them like a hawk to be sure there is no cross contamination. However, at this JJ, one of the sandwich makers mom has celiac. Casey was awesome at making sure that he made the unwich with no contamination what-so-ever. Wiped the counters, took off the top layer of paper, changed his gloves, used fresh cut tomatoes, etc. Thank you for being so considerate!!!
Great food. Order the unwich. Seemed very knowledgable about gluten free and changed their gloves.
Emailed them and got this back:Avocado – It is gluten free.Bacon - It is gluten free.Beef - It is not gluten free.Ham - It is gluten free.Capicola - It is gluten free.Salami - It is gluten free.Turkey - It is gluten free. French bread - It is not gluten free.Wheat bread - It is not gluten free.Tuna – It is not gluten free. Cheese - It is gluten free. (Based on the FDA proposed ruling saying that product with <20ppm gluten can be decaled as gluten free)Mayo - It is gluten free. Cookies - They are not gluten free.Chips – They are gluten free. We have a great gluten free option..our unwich (Lettuce wrap).
They will make any sandwich a lettuce wrap. They knew immediately to change their gloves when I told them I had celiac disease. They also give mayonnaise and mustard packets to prevent cross contamination. They even got a brand new knife to cut my pickle without me even asking. The guy there this particular day was very aware because he said his daughter has celiac. It's nice to have another option for dining out!
Warning: the beef here is NOT gluten free. Everything else (excluding obvious cookies/breads) is listed as gluten free per JJ.Warn them ahead of time if celiac, so they can change gloves and ask for a clean/non-contaminated surface at this location, as they've neglected to do this on their own in the past. The food is great, the staff isn't as knowledgable of celiac protocol, though.
I like the unwich, which is any kind of sub sandwich they offer, minus the bread, and wrapped in lettuce. Although I have read many different websites saying that their cheese was gluten free, I decided to get provolone cheese. I was skeptical, but ate it anyway. I got sick, so I'm pretty sure there is gluten in the cheese. Don't order cheese and you should be ok. I'm not a celiac, so as far as sanitizing all equipment for cross-contamination, I am not sure if they can accommodate.
They deliver! I can feed a family of 4 for $20.00. The gluten free sandwiches are the un-wraps (lettuce wraps). The provolone cheese and some of the meats are gluten free. This is my go-to place to order out whenever I haven't gotten to the grocery store to stock up and I'm stuck at home.
No gf here unless you want a lettuce wrap
After several visits I'm more and more pleased. They are eager to change gloves and lay their paper out to cover their work space when I mention "gluten free." One employee specifically recalled my worry over the Dijon and made sure no one put it on my unwich. I did my own research as they don't have a gluten free menu but they are more than willing to accommodate and always friendly.

CELIACS DO NOT EAT HERE! I'd give it zero if I could. As a past employee, I can assure you there is NO WAY to avoid being gluten-ed here. Yes, even with an unwich, yes even with different boards and knives. The cross-contamination is crazy. First, some of the meats still contain gluten, and many employees won't be able to tell you which ones (roast beef, cheese, all are sketchy though). Second, all ingredients meet the same utensils at one point or another: the same meat slicer, the same bins on the cold table, the same cutting boards, spatulas, etc. Third, bread crumb EVERYWHERE. Employees touch bread, then grab lettuce/tomatoes for said sandwich, then continue to touch bread. AKA gluten in all of the produce. Fourth, about 90% of the employees are not going to understand celiac. They won't have a inhibition as to what to do to avoid cross contamination. I'm telling you, if you've been "fine" eating here before as a celiac, you may want to ask your doctor if you're really celiac. There is no possible way. Please do yourself a solid and avoid. ASIDE from its being unfriendly to celiacs, this place is truly golden. 5 stars otherwise.
when i want a cold cut sandwich i go here to get their un-wich. its a lettuce wrap that you can customize or order any existing sandwich as. all flavors are awesome, my favorites are the gargantuan, beach club, club lulu, veggie club, blt, and the vito. the gluten free menu is the un-wich, chips and drinks only. tip: for a unwich dont go for the slim sandwiches, unless that is what you want-the unwiches for them tend to be smaller. to get more bang for your buck, get the regular or bigger sandwiches as unwiches. the more meat and free condiments you add the bigger your wrap will be. :)
