Just left Jimmy’s seafood and it wasn’t the food that will make me not go back, it was the rude and sarcastic manager, Gurvir! I mention him by name because after his rude behavior, he gave me a card with his name to write a review and I’m doing just that. I went there last year for my birthday and spent a lot of money (it is not cheap) and had a great experience. My brother enjoyed it so much that he went there today for his birthday. The experience was very different. I was referred to this family owned business by my neice who went to school with the daughter of the owner and I do not plan to return. However, as a business owner in Maryland, I would not tolerate a bad manager because they eventually ruin your business that it took the family a lifetime to build! Get a new manager Jimmy’s! It also took an hour to get our food.

Went for drinks with no expectations of being able to eat based on other reviews, but was pleasantly surprised after speaking with our server, who was very accommodating and understanding. Gluten free items are marked clearly on the menu. I had my eye on the California Shrimp Roll and crab cake. The server checked with the chef and they recommended NOT ordering the California Shrimp Roll because it is prepared with all of the other sushi, putting it at higher risk for cross contamination. I got the GF crab cake and thoroughly enjoyed it! No reactions or issues!

We ordered quite a few times during covid. One night we had friends over, we ordered, and I believe they mixed up our order, with theirs. We had grilled wings with TWO GF crab cake orders… our friends ordered the same but regular crab cakes…. I was only about 1/4 of the gf crab cake in… I started to feel nauseous, my head started pounding…. Long story short… the crab cake was definitely NOT GF. I had to call out of work for a week!! I called jimmys to explain what happened. The manager on duty, told me their regular crab cakes were ALMOST GF, so sorry but NOT sorry!! He didn’t even know the concept of cross contamination or gluten free!! He was EXTREMELY UNEMPATHIC AND OBNOXIOUSLY RUDE!! We ate there every two weeks!! Bill was always over a $100… we’ve NEVER BEEN BACK!! If you have any allergies, sensitivities or disorders… this is NOT the place for you!!!

Ordered the Paella which was marked as gluten free. Also notified the server of my gluten allergy. My salad came out with croutons. When I let the server know I couldn’t have it, she just said sorry and walked away, so I gave it to my partner. The paella then came out with bread on top. I told the server I had a gluten allergy and couldn’t eat it. She asked if I could just take the bread off, and then explained why I couldn’t. They did remake it, and it came in an oven dish with handles that actually burned through my skin and caused immediate blisters when I went to move the dish closer to me - no warning of it being hot. Bad experience here all around.

This is a wonderful seafood restaurant with lots of Gluten Free options. The are very upfront and honest. They could not guarantee anything, but did go over and above to make me feel comfortable about having Celiac. The MD Crab soup was delicious and my dinner was fantastic. I did the build your own bowl with Rice, grilled chicken and shrimp along with a scampi sauce on the side.
