My husband went to West Palm, FL for Spring Brake and drove to Boynton Beach to get me some pastries from this bakery. It was pricey but not surprises there. He bought some chocolate chip and chocolate cookies, eclairs, and a chocolate cake. All of them were disgusting. The eclair was tasteless and after a 11 second reheating in the microwave it fell apart. It was so tiny. I couldn’t finish it because I literally felt that was eating raw flour. The cookies were flavorless too and the texture was dry and porous. I couldn't finish them either. I had to throw them away. I haven’t had the chocolate cake yet but I don’t expect too much. It’s so disappointing when you spent a good amount of money and get this insipid baked products. As a celiac, I feel I have to lower my expectations because most of the time the food could be not as good as one expected. Although to be fair, I have had nice experiences too especially in Arizona (Gourmet Girls, Intentional Food), or California (Starry Lane bakery, Nectarine Grove). All of them are dedicated restaurants.and their food is so tasty. NY or Austin have been excellent experiences as well not only in terms of the abundance of options but also in the diversity of food you can find there. I don't care about paying $$$ if their dishes are delicious.
