Joey's Pizza

What an unexpected gem! My family and I were returning home to NY from a vacation and passing through Scranton. Based on the recommendations on this app, we stopped at Joey’s for lunch. They made me a personal GF white pizza that was the best I’ve had. I am very sensitive to cross-contamination and had zero issues (baking the pizza on its own tray is genius). My kids and husband are not gluten free and enjoyed their regular slices as well. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area!

I was very impressed by Joey’s Pizza. I have celiacs and every since going GF, I struggled to find a pizza that I enjoyed. I ordered online, customized my pizza how I liked it, and noted my gluten allergy in the comment box provided on the app. When I arrived I was a little bit early, so I waiting to my food to be ready. I watched as they cook your GF pizza on foil, so that it doesn’t risk contamination touching the bottom of the pizza oven. When everything was finished, I watched him get new and clean pizza cutters to slice my trays. I did have a little bit of a drive to get home, so my pizzas got a little cold on my commute. I simply popped them back in the oven to warm the trays up, and it was just like how they served them to me. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this pizza. I try to not get my hopes up with GF pizza because it’s nothing like kind I grew up with, but this was one of the best I’ve tried in our area so far. I highly recommend you to try it out! I’m pretty sensitive, and I had no type of reaction. I definitely will be going there again!

Ordered online, specified gluten free as I have celiacs. Pizza didn't make me sick. Toppings were amazing, but the crust was soggy and not very appetizing.
