Review of Johnny D's Market & Bistro

As you may know, Italian places can be a hit or miss for GF/DF folks, usually a miss. Called ahead to see if they accommodate gluten & dairy free and they said most dishes they could. Went for dinner with my fam, the waitress was incredible. I wish I got her name, she was so awesome, so kind, understanding, knowledgeable, patient. I ordered mussels with the garlic white wine sauce and asked for oil instead of butter and veggies instead of pasta. She said absolutely. I was able to choose between two veggies and went with spinach. It was perfect. I didn’t get sick at all, but cross contamination also doesn’t bother me.

Just fyi - I usually get salads at places like this, they don’t offer any as an entree. I also didn’t ask about GF pasta or bread substitutes since we were a big group, so I can’t speak to how much they offer.
