Wow. Please avoid if you are celiac. I asked for vegetable tacos to be made gluten free. I informed the waiter that I had an allergy. Waiter came back with order, and stated it was gluten free. The tortillas looked like flour (not corn), so I asked if they could confirm that the tortillas were corn.The waiter said, “They are flour tortillas.” I explained that flour has gluten in it. The waiter said that they would remake it, and then came back a few minutes later with veggie tacos on corn tortillas. It was very fast, so we asked if they had just scraped off the contents of the tacos and put them on a corn tortilla. The waiter confirmed that this is, in fact, what the kitchen had done (props to the waiter for his honesty!). I reiterated that it was an ALLERGY; the waiter brought me new tacos yet again, but by this time, I was so skeptical, I didn’t eat them. I had a bit of the black beans that came with the tacos, and I feel sick. They advertise as having gluten free, but they should honestly stop advertising that! Totally fine if a place cannot/does not accommodate, but this made me really upset/sick.
