The waffles and bread are incredible! Everything is delicious from the sweet and savory waffles to the rolls and pastries. Customer service was lovely and they are knowledgeable and super responsive with all of our questions of other allergens. The bread rolls are so good!!

The waffles are excellent! Customer service was great too - I spoke with the owner about his dedication to gluten free, he was very friendly and made the food with care. Sweet and savory waffles are 10/10! I did not try the bread, but it looked fantastic. They also have a small area with GF products to purchase, mostly pantry items.

The kindest owners and the best gluten free bread around. My husband went to pick up a baguette in the middle of the day but they were sold out. The owner told him to come back after hours — that he would make him a special loaf while doing a custom order. Could not recommend more!!

OMG WOW. I would give the sandwich 10 stars. I had a Call Me Spicy (?). It had bacon, cheddar tuile, cream cheese, jalapeño, chips, and greens in a soft waffle. It was salty, sweet, meaty, chewy, crunchy, and a little hint of spicy all in one. All-time texture winner. It’s all the textures at once. I can’t wait to try another one.

Absolutely delicious! They have savory and sweet waffle sandwich combos - I got eggs, avocado, bacon and tomato as well as a tea and marble cake. Great spot and EVERYTHING is GF! Will be back for sure.

Always glad to see another gluten free option pop up. There were 12 different waffle combos, under the categories breakfast, savory, and sweet (check out their website to see the options). The waffles were pre-made (I believe in house) but placed back in the waffle maker to reheat and crisp up when ordered, and then the ingredients are assembled in front of the customer. I ordered the Hass We Can (avocado, egg, bacon, tomato, and lime juice). It was the perfect ratio and distribution of ingredients for each bite. I think the waffle could have gone longer to warm up and get crisp, but it was good and buttery on the edges that did crisp up. I didn’t try the baked sweets, but they looked pretty good in the case!

This place is terrific. It is dedicated gluten free, the food is delicious (my non-Celiac husband also really liked the food), and the owner is incredibly nice. I am a very sensitive Celiac, and had no issues. He is hoping to expand to a wider menu, and I hope all of us who have long wanted more options to eat out in Bethesda will support him!!

Good first visit here. Waffles were made on the spot (which took some time because we ordered in person) and were good/clever as a wrap. I think the sweet waffles are better than the savory. Savory options need to be less reliant on bacon/pork and have some condiments/spicy sauces (pickled onions, hot sauce, etc). But everything was freshly made. Service was good. People were nice and above all - dedicated GF which is so nice.

Waffle was a great texture; chewy and soft. I ordered a “Hass we can” avocado breakfast waffle. I wished I had ordered a different waffle because I felt like the boiled egg didn’t quite go with the avocado and tomatoes. I also had a lemon bar and it was very good. If I went back, I would go for a sweet waffle.

I am very confused about the bad review below. My waffle was made fresh and the ingredients in my sandwich were also fresh. The consistency was perfect, it’s somehow the perfect balance of crunchy and soft (you can’t eat a wrap with an entirely crunchy waffle!). I highly recommend this place. I’m celiac so I appreciated the gluten free but my gluten loving husband raved about his waffle as well.

The only issue is that it is a bit difficult to see from the road. It’s in the corner and the sign says “Artisan Bakery”. So worth the effort to find it though.

Stopped into Josephine GF Bakery and enjoyed an amazing waffle---loaded with my favorite topping, smoked salmon. Everything tasted fresh and the waffle itself was a great texture, which can be tricky with gluten free baking. It is clear the owner knows what he is doing. And the rest of the shop has amazing gluten free treats. I brought home some brownies and lemon bars, and my husband (who does not eat gluten free) said the lemon bars were the best he had. This is such a warm, welcoming, and family-friendly place that offers great breakfast and lunch options, along with yummy treats. The products here would be great for local business events, parties, or even school activities.

This is the most delicious waffle place I've ever been to. I got there early and watched the owner make the waffles fresh before the lunch rush. They're just so soft and delicious! I couldn't believe how yummy the sandwiches are. I was waiting in line watching the owner make a waffle sandwich for another customer and how much thought and care he put into preparing everything with the freshest ingredients and then watching the customer taking her first bite and exclaiming how delicious it was totally swayed me into getting a waffle sandwich for myself. I love the names for each sandwich, I think mine was called c'est cheese and it was just the yummiest. My friend joined me for brunch and she couldn't believe how amazing everything tasted either. I was not only impressed by how fresh and delicious all the ingredients and how the flavors melded together but I was totally charmed by everything else the owner had in stock, like gourmet drinks. I'm not a coffee drinker so when I saw he had oat milk chai I totally grabbed it up and enjoyed it with my waffle sandwich. My friend and I sat outside for awhile and the owner brought out two just-made sweet waffles for us to try because we were such fans of his place. I'm so glad to be able to have a GF safe and tasty place I can go and bring my other GF friends for brunch and whenever we want.

Based on the reviews here and google I thought this place was going to be amazing but it’s terrible!! They pre-make the waffles and they’re undercooked somehow. Like how hard is it to make fresh waffles with batter— takes 2 minutes. The latte is made in a machine so it’s 50/50 milk coffee.. not a latte. And the toppings are all mediocre. Suspicious that some of these reviews are fake. Wouldn’t recommend at all. Not to mention how expensive it is…

This beautiful new place is dedicated gluten free so anyone should feel safe eating here. The owner, Jean Charles, is very welcoming and friendly and glad to make suggestions. I decided to go with a simple lunch of ham and cheese on a waffle, called the "Mister Crunch". What a fun and unique way to have a sandwich. The taste was perfect! JC did a great job wrapping up my lunch to go. I also couldn't resist the blondie topped with marshmallow, chocolate, and peanut butter. Totally decadent, as was the whoopie pie!
