Friendly knowledgeable servers. Chips are safe for celiacs - they get them in a bag marked GF. Lunch special and happy hours are great deals. Taco Tues after 2pm also a great deal! Full bar. Kids menu $6 meals includes side and a drink. Most food can be done GF. Had the grilled fish and shrimp tacos. Slaw was a little dry but flavor was good. Tacos were great. They said when they mark it celiac they clean the pans and get new tortillas out. All sides are GF. Great outdoor patio space. Felt great after going 2x now

Food was good but unfortunately I got really sick afterwards. I had tacos marked as GF, alerted my waiter, and stayed away from the chips so sadly there might be some issues in the kitchen with CC.

Hi! Went to Joyride Taco House for a night with drinks and *maybe* some food with my friend. We deliberately chose this place because they had clear gf markings on their menu and since it is a Mexican food inspired restaurant I thought it might be easier to keep things not cross contaminated.
Unfortunately I was told by someone on the waitstaff that all of the chips that they serve are made using shared fryers. This includes chips that they have in appetizers listed as gluten free...such as their guacamole and queso appetizers. They make their own in house chips for certain items and buy chips made outside of their restaurant for others but apparently BOTH types of chips are made in shared fryers.
I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast but I basically felt that I could not trust anything on their menu since they knew that their chips were not gluten free and were literally listing them in food items that they said were gluten free.
Besides that my personal waitress was very sweet and the drinks were great! They had topo Chico based drinks which were awesome.
But..for someone with celiac who wants to eat here I would say it is a no go for me and if you like to take risks..this is your place.
They seemed to have some understanding of what cross contamination was but at the same time labeled foods gf that they knew FOR SURE were cross contaminated. So??? yikes!
I wrote the management a letter and am waiting back as I was really really disappointed with their labeling and if for some reason the waitstaff was wrong and their chips are not made in a shared fryer and they seem to get a handle on how to label I will change my review. I just haven't heard back from them yet and thought it's important that other people with celiac understand that there are some major issues with gf here.

The ambience is awesome. They were knowledgeable about contamination and warned which items may not be safe on the menu. All items are clearly marked w GF. Had two tacos and the delicious black beans. The Standard Taco was amazing. Staff is friendly and kind. Highly recommend for fellow GF and Celiac peeps.

Very fun and festive atmosphere. Open air dining. Lots of gluten free options on the menu. Risk of cross-contamination is minimal. I am highly sensitive and had no issues. My non-gf companions loved it.
I had the shrimp ceviche and it was delicious!
