Dedicated (smaller) fryer. Any fried item that can fit in their smaller dedicated fryer can be fried with rice flour. Except “whole fried fish”. Also fries are “seasoned” and are not GF. Oyster chowder is not GF. No longer have the GF menu from one of the attached pictures but waitress knew ingredients. Cocktail sauce and tartar sauce are homemade and gluten-free. Most sides are GF. No GF pasta (booooo). The only fried item I could have gone without was the scallops- batter too thick. Great outdoor seating with a pleasant water view.

Nous avons passé un bon moment au Julington Fish Camp! Ma famille a commandé du poisson frit dans une friteuse spéciale sans gluten, du saumon grillé avec pommes de terre persillées et épinards, shrimps and grits et un menu enfant. Beaucoup de plats peuvent être adaptés pour être sans gluten, notre serveuse connaissait très bien le menu et nous a bien guidés pour nos sélections. Essayez ce restaurant et vous serez ravis!

Nothing marked on the menu but your server should be knowledgeable. Most but not all of the menu is fine! Just be sure to tell your server you have a gluten sensitivity - they even have a dedicated gluten free fryer! Though it's much smaller than the regular one so food may come slowly.

Food is tasty, generous portions, I felt fine after the meal.

I have them a 5*, but the rating is really a 4.5*

This place is a staple of Jacksonville and offers some very tasty gluten free dishes and the servers are VERY well trained. They have a dedicated GF fryer and will use their GF batter on whatever you’d like. I’d rate the overall food as a 4/5. The food comes out and they specifically point out “gluten free”.

However, I’ve got to say, the fried food leaves a lot to be desired and it starts with the batter. It’s plain, not flavorful and falls off easily.

Honestly, unless you’re really craving fried fish, just go with one of their other delicious options.

Loved it! Dedicated GF fryer and had fried food for a rare treat. Knowledgeable staff. Grilled fish and shrimp is also good. Very happy with this place.

Always have a great experience here without getting sick. They have a dedicated fryer and even the bartender knows what specialty drinks are gf. They have always been cautious and even have a gf dessert

Not sure why this place has so many good reviews, I was very disappointed. Plate was very small for price and nothing special or even very tasty. Plus, everything has dairy, so if you’re dairy free as well forget it. Staff is not knowledgeable with food allergies and ended up serving me something with dairy. Got home with a small headache and hungry, for sure not going back. Two star because at least the waiter tried.

My wife is gluten intolerant and our waitress, Amanda took time to work through the menu and delivered an absolutely AWESOME meal for her.

My wife and I cannot say enough good about the food or our wonderful waitress.

They do have a dedicated gluten free fryer.

They had a separate gluten free menu. Basically everything can be gluten free except the fries & hushpuppies. Although not on the menu, they can make gluten free fried shrimp/ chicken/ fish! I got the fried shrimp and it was SO YUMMY and so nice to be able to order! I got the beans and potatoes as sides.

I can fulfill all of my guilty fried food pleasures here like fried fish and shrimp or chicken because they have a dedicated fryer and the staff is pretty knowledgeable and accommodating. The food is delicious, too. Ooh, and shrimp and grits are yummy. The fries are not gluten free but there are lots of other options. That’s no reason for the last reviewer to take off two stars because they don’t have gf fries. Just leave a tip down below. Sheesh. Please note, the service is usually slow and sometimes comically bad. Like they are understaffed. But the food has always been great and so is the location so we put up with it. I didn’t subtract a star for that on this app but I probably would on regular one like Yelp.

Disappointed in that I could not get french fries. Not gluten free. The fried fish was several small pieces, nothing special at all.3 stars because waitress did her best

This restaurant is amazing! This is one of three restaurants operated by the same owners. I've eaten at Palm Valley and North Beach Fish Camps as well and they all have their own charm and menus. All restaurants are extremely gf conscious and the food is amazing! I visit one of them every time I'm in Jacksonville! SO nice to have more options here!

There is not a GF menu but JCFC is very accommodating to dietary restrictions. I eat here once a month without any problems. The menu is limited for me (I'm GFDF and no shellfish) but what I get is always phenomenal!

Very gluten free friendly! Food, service, and views were great too :) they had a dedicated fryer for some fried seafood! The did not have a separate menu, but said they could accommodate most entrees.
