This establishment has amazing customer service! They are kind, cheerful, and go above-and-beyond as their standard! I have eaten here twice and had different people at the registers. But they were all great!
There are 2 drawbacks to this cafe. 1. The safety. When they were busy, I ordered a gluten free, chicken bacon ranch sandwich. I didn’t see fried chicken on the menu anywhere else but made sure to ask for gluten free. When I got home to eat with my partner, I found fried chicken strips in my gluten free bread. It was a rookie level mistake. I called to alert them of the situation, and they apologized profusely. They offered to re-make it for free. I was not able to go back that day, so I didn’t receive a lunch or refund. However, they assured me they’d remake it if I was able to come back which I definitely believe based on their kindness otherwise.
My second downside is value for time and money. It takes about 20 minutes for them to make 2 sandwiches and 2 coffees. On my first visit, they were busy and took about 40 minutes. A sándwich is also $7-20 depending on the size and type. Coffees are a great price and move quickly, so I definitely think their coffee is worth it. The sandwiches seem just a bit over-priced though and take a long while to make.
Lots of options! Dozens of sandwiches and coffee choices. As mentioned, value of sandwiches is meh. Could find cheaper and/or better sandwiches. But they are tasty. I got a Turkey BLT on gluten free. Their coffees are great value. Large iced coffee for under $4 on the north shore? And this thing is like 32oz or something about that! Lots of flavor choices, and flavor syrup ingredients can be checked on request. Flavors are not overpowering. Non-dairy milk is available.
Labeled everything! Coffees were labeled. Mine was chocolate orange flavored. They wrote “CO” on top. Gluten free sandwich was placed in a separate bag from the one with gluten, and “G.F.” Was written on the correct bag. They ask if it’s allergy or preference and appear to really take that to heart! Because of that first experience with the chicken fingers, I would def stress that it’s an allergy even if you do not worry about cross contamination. (I sometimes say preference as cross contam doesn’t bother my mild allergy, and staff in some locations like fast food are more likely to serve you if you deny the allergy) They also have gluten free , packaged snacks out for purchase if you prefer that.
All in all, I enjoy this cafe. The staff is wonderful. The food is good. I will likely come back next time I’m in that plaza for an appointment. Convenience is a big seller. I would suggest just double checking with your server to ensure your food choice is gluten free and alotting at least an hour to ensure you have time to eat before your next appointment/task.
