Eaten here for years- always get Kababs and veggie appetizers. Staff very knowledgeable. Most of the restaurant is GF, incl all spices. Just avoid the bread and a few other items. It’s my go-to for nice food to-go. Never been sick, and I’m a sensitive celiac.
Yes
Kabuls is one of my favorite restaurants. The serve uniquely flavored Afghan Cuisine. The staff treat you like you are family.
Two of my favorite dishes I would recommend to you if your just GF is Lawang or their chicken kabob.
I am now GF/DF/corn free so I can't eat either of those dishes anymore. All of their kabobs and many of their meats are marinated in dairy, specifically yogurt.
So last night I ordered
Korma Challaw tender chunks of beef cooked with green pepper, onions, tomatoes and spices, served with challaw and Kadu sauteed pumpkin topped with beef.
I was assured both dishes were both GF/DF; however, they left me very sick all night :(
I am not sure I will ever be able to eat here again, too risky.
No
A lot of gluten free choices here with a knowledge and friendly staff. Most of the stews are tomato based and the cream sauce in the chicken dish is gluten free. A lot of super tasty vegetarian dishes too. The pumpkin is a must!! Be sure to tell them about your gluten allergy but a ton of the menu items are already gluten free.
